This project required creating 14 paper lace banners 18 feet in length. I needed designers, muralists and about 30-40 volunteers. Going into my first production meeting I thought I would have 5 or 6 people. I had 1.  After that first meeting, as I was driving home, I thought, “Be thankful for the one. Work with what you’ve got.” That one person became my champion because she and I built a solid working relationship based on an atmosphere of trust. We recruited over 40 volunteers over the next 6 weeks and we finished on time for the Christmas season.
